Hello Soul Aligned Self Care Community!
I had a thought this morning after and great night's sleep and some morning journaling and meditation that I wanted to start to shift my focus away from the Live With Purpose Series and move into Choosing You.
How to step into YOUR power and start choosing yourself on the daily so you can show up in your life as the best version of yourself.
Today I’ll talk about how you can start doing this every day.
You know I encourage you to take have big goals and dreams but to take small consistent steps and keep moving forward. Well, this is no different. Choosing to support yourself, your health, your beliefs, and your energy, and protecting that like your life depends on it is the DEEPEST level of self-care.
It’s creating and maintaining those powerful healthy boundaries and treating yourself with the same level of support you give your partner, your kids, and your best friend.
I recently saw a creator on Tik Tok (No, I don’t know her name but obviously, she is awesome, she told me so!) that was talking about dating herself and treating herself the way she wanted to be treated. I mean what are we waiting for? Just treat yourself like the goddess you are.
You teach people how to treat you by showing up for yourself and by setting and maintaining your boundaries in a way that shows, yes, we love ourselves and think that we are an awesome and amazing addition to this planet. When we do this everyone else will do the same.
This is just how it works, we show up first and then the universe follows.
In today's live replay, we'll go over some of those small steps we can take consistently, daily, to choose ourselves.

Feeling stuck is not something that happens overnight.
This happens when we spend years of our lives taking care of everyone else, having no boundaries, and never putting ourselves first. When we do this we lose that connection with ourselves, we lose the connection to our intuition.
I have two steps I use to help make that reconnection with yourself and start to figure out what makes you happy, what makes you feel like you have a purpose when you wake up each morning.
We get so busy with our family, careers, relationships, and sometimes the care of a parent. We can easily lose track of the things we used to enjoy. It's not just the big things like hobbies and traveling. It's the little things too. A walk in nature, a quiet cup of coffee with a book. We tell ourselves we don't have time.
Before you know it, we are going through our lives unconsciously not even aware that we aren't having too much fun, we lose our sense of self, you know, that fun lady you used to know:) Now it's time for you to make time and find her.

Hello Soul Aligned Self Care People,
I’ve recently done two series on my blog.
-How To Find Your Life Purpose
-The Get Unstuck Series
While they both kinda help you do the same thing and can have some similarities, they both served a purpose to different people. Some felt really stuck and had a loss of purpose, and some were just going through life changes rediscovering a new purpose.
Both are extremely important and both are things I had to work through in my life.
It's important for me to help others through this process quickly so they can get on living and enjoying life.
I would consider this to be one of the great purposes in my life.
I’ve decided to combine the two series into one and for the month of December will be going over different things you can do to help yourself through this process.
Today, I want to share with you 3 simple ways to get you started.
I also want to add if you’d like to follow along, sign up for the newsletter, subscribe to the blog, and subscribe to my YouTube channel.
Let's get right into it.
Know what your starting point is. Take some time to sit down and write out where you are in all the different areas of your life. (Health, fitness, relationships, career, money, spirituality, community, fun, social) Take some time and really think about it and write as much as you can and how it FEELS. You guessed it, the feeling part is important. Be completely honest with yourself. If everything sucks, write it down. This is for your eyes only.
Next, write out, if you had no limitations, none at all, no judgment from anyone, how you would want it to look now and how you would feel if everything was this way. Do every area and have fun. Dream big! Listen to this podcast episode if you need help.
So now you have point A and point B. This is all you need when you’re driving somewhere. Your starting destination and end destination. You just need to figure out all the turns in between. You might say, it’s not that easy Tina! But what if I told you it was? You see, when you're stuck you're not moving, you're staying in one place the steps in between are you just living your life. One baby step at a time, deciding if that was a good step or not, adjusting the next step, keep moving forward, learn from mistakes. The reason we get stuck is that we are sometimes scared. The outcome can seem so big, it seems impossible. What I’m telling you is the next step.
Live your life one baby step at a time. All you need to know, all you need to work on, is the next baby step, that's it! Live in that present step. Its less overwhelming, more achievable, and more fun I might add. As a bonus, as you have these small successes, you will gain confidence. Things become more fun and exciting. You’ll be successful.
Moving forward, take one of the areas above that you want to work on. Start with the one that will have the biggest impact on your life, and write out what you think would be the first baby step to get started. Just figure out the first one that's it. I’m going to ask you to stop there. Then when you finish that step, ask yourself, was that a good step, or did it not go well, if it was good, think of the next step, If it was bad, think if there's a lesson to be learned or if you just need to adjust and think of a different step, then come up with the next step.
There is no right or wrong, no failures, just lessons. The most successful people in life are doing this. They're not feeling bad or thinking they're a failure. They are figuring out what the lesson is, adjusting their path, and moving forward. That's it. The key phrase here is,
MOVING FORWARD
Always keep moving forward, don’t stop.
Even if you take shitty steps 20 times in a row, just keep moving forward!

Hiya & Welcome Back,
How Gratitude Can Change Your Whole Day
I’m going to start off this post by saying I have mixed feelings about this time of the year. “The Holiday Season”
Before my mom passed it was always great because she made it great. She was so over the top with every holiday. She just made it so fun.
I tried to continue this after she was gone but It seemed I was the only one who wanted to do this. Except for my kids, I think they just love it.
It was really hard for me to do this by myself as a single parent. But I carried over many of her traditions and added some of my own.
After the past two years, there was this weird feeling that I had and my kids also. It all felt so materialistic and unauthentic.
So, my question that I am still working on is how can I make my holiday and my kids holiday special again all while having it feel aligned with our beliefs and our families values.
So we kinda don’t celebrate. At least there are no expectations. We always get together and have fun.
This is one thing that is important to all of us.
Not the gifts or the traveling all over the place on these set days.
Just all of us being together.
One of the things that always helps me appreciate this time of the year more is having gratitude for everything I have in my life right now. Being grateful for my health, my home, my friends, and most of all my kids and my puppies.
This always reminds me of how lucky I am and how I need nothing. I have everything right in front of me.
One of my favorite ways to practice gratitude is in the morning writing down a few things I’m grateful for and then I write all the reasons why. Nothing is too big or too small.
Then at night, I think about something that happened during the day that I’m grateful for and why.
This way I’m beginning my day in gratitude and ending my day in gratitude.
Learn some of the positive side effects of starting and ending your day with gratitude inside this episode.
Today, all I hope to do in this quick podcast episode is help you add a daily gratitude practice to your life, you will not regret it!

Welcome back!
Why Is Self-Care NOT Selfish?
One of the things that I see day after day in my life and business is professional, driven women who feel guilty giving themselves any self-care at all, even at substandard levels.
I believe this stems from the way the majority of us are raised from birth to always care for and make someone else happy before ourselves. We are expected to take the role of caregiver even if we work full-time, and have a business. Not to mention, we are sometimes expected to take the brunt of the household chores as well.
This my friend is a heavy load to take on and is NOT sustainable without repercussions on our health.
The big part of the problem is convincing these amazing, smart, capable, and powerful women that they need to practice self-care daily and it is NOT selfish.
They need to go against society's unreasonable and might I say bullshit expectations of us to do everything, be everything, and look good doing it.
They need to understand that self-care is not selfish and today I’m going to give you 10 reasons as I can why it’s not and how it benefits everyone.

Hello Everyone!
Today I will be sharing with you 4 Ways To Treat Yourself When Your Feeling Stressed
Very recently I had a day.
I was just feeling so blah and I was kinda mad because I had a lot of stuff I wanted to do. But I know when I’m feeling this way It’s not the right time for me to write or do a live.
So I’m basically not getting any work done. So then my feelings move into not just blah but also a little bit stressed because I know I’m not getting anything done.
Have you been here? You need to get stuff done but your feeling kinda sad and then you're stressed because you're not getting anything done. LOL. A vicious circle.
This is when I know it’s time to treat myself to some self-care.
Be sure to watch the few ways I treat myself when I'm feeling this way. It works like a charm!
When I take the time and give myself the space I can bounce back in just a few hours.
Sometimes, I'm not going to lie, I just need a day.
